This is just a quick tutorial on how to
create a successful ad that gets responses and how to safely meet
someone.
How to Create a Success Personal Ad
-
Include a Photo
Include a recent picture or two of yourself. Personal ad with
pictures get a larger response. Pictures draw attention to your
ad. A quality photo and a casual photo of you with friends shows that
shows the real you work best. No modeling or "Glamour Shots"
should be used. If you are posting an adult ad, you know the
saying... "If you've got it, flaunt it!"
- Be Honest
Be honest, be yourself. Don't fill
your personal ad full of high expectations that you can not live up to
and stories that you won't remember. Don't try to be someone that
you are not, Be Yourself! Lies always come back to haunt you!
- Be Realistic
Don't set unrealistic expectations - You know what I mean!
Ladies - the handsome Knight riding in on a horse
Guys - a bi-sexual supermodel with a six twelve pack of
beer
Give the nice ones a chance, there are a lot of nice people out there
waiting to be discovered
- Be Creative
Make your headline an "attention getter." If you don't have a
photo or have yet to add one you can still catch their attention with a
good eye catching headline/subject line for your ad.
- Responding to Ads
Again, be honest here. Tell the person you are responding to
what made you respond to their ad. Not "Nice hooters" either!
Tell them about yourself but not too much at first. Let them ask
questions if they respond back. Ask question about them and don't
try to do it all in one e-mail
How to Date
Safely
-
Common Sense and
Instincts
Using common sense will take you a long way and keep you safe.
If something does not seem right, it probably is not. Don't be
afraid to end a date, call someone and stay in a public place
-
Information
Never give out your personal information such as your last
name, address and phone number until you have met someone and have
gotten to know them well. Use e-mail to start and when you feel
the time is right, then start phone contact. Ask questions! You
can not be too sure!
-
Stay in Contact
Let a few people know who you are meeting, where you are meeting and
what your agenda is. Check in with a friend once or twice to let
them know how your date is going and where you are headed next
-
Stay Public
Make sure your first couple of dates are in public places. Drive
yourself, park in well lit parking areas and meet them at a restaurant or movie theater.
Cameras are all over these days, look for one and try to park in view of
it
-
Trust
Unfortunately there are a few idiots out there that have changed the
way we have to live. Even if the person you have just met is very
nice, use caution. Never leave your drink unattended or let them talk
you into something that you don't want to do. Carry mace, keep your keys
in your hand to use if necessary
